Memory Lane Games Arrives at The Brenda Strafford Foundation

At Memory Lane Games, we are proud to be partnering with the Dr. Barrie Strafford Centre for Learning, Innovation, and Quality (CLIQ) to bring our platform into continuing care in Canada for the very first time.

This exciting trial is taking place at Bow View Manor and Wentworth Manor, both part of The Brenda Strafford Foundation, and represents an important step in exploring how digital tools can support people living with dementia, as well as the dedicated teams who care for them.

CLIQ is widely recognised for its leadership in driving innovation across aging care, and this collaboration reflects a shared commitment to improving quality of life through practical, evidence-based solutions. Their approach goes beyond simply introducing new technologies, they focus on co-creating, testing, and evaluating innovations in real-world care environments to ensure meaningful impact.

Through this trial, CLIQ will assess how Memory Lane Games can be integrated into daily care, supporting engagement, sparking conversation, and helping residents reconnect with familiar memories in a simple and accessible way. Just as importantly, the trial will explore how care teams can use the platform to enhance interactions and build stronger relationships with those they support.

CLIQ’s work is grounded in collaboration. By partnering with academic institutions, researchers, and care providers, they ensure that every innovation is informed by both research and frontline experience. This enables the development of models that are not only effective, but also scalable and adaptable across different care settings.

In addition to leading research and innovation, CLIQ provides Quality Improvement (QI) services that help organisations identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement. Their structured frameworks and hands-on support empower teams to refine processes, enhance care delivery, and create sustainable change.

A defining strength of CLIQ is its focus on data and analytics. Through customised dashboards and robust data systems, they equip organisations with real-time insights that support informed decision-making. This data-driven approach ensures that improvements are measurable, meaningful, and aligned with the needs of residents and care teams alike.

For Memory Lane Games, working alongside CLIQ is a valuable opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the advancement of dementia care. Their expertise in evaluation and implementation will play a key role in understanding the impact of our platform and identifying best practices for its use in care environments.

As the trial progresses, we look forward to sharing updates and insights from this collaboration. Together with CLIQ and The Brenda Strafford Foundation, we are taking an important step toward enhancing the lives of people living with dementia through thoughtful innovation and partnership.
